Motorola's new Signature 27 is a non-folding flagship phone priced at $1,599.99, according to Ars Technica. The phone is set to go on sale November 26, with preorders starting November 19. Motorola has not announced carrier partnerships, so buyers will need to purchase it directly from Motorola, Best Buy, or Amazon.

The report says the phone uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, 12GB of memory with no upgrade option, and 512GB of storage. It has a 6.8-inch tandem OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Motorola claims a peak brightness of 12,000 nits, which the report says is four times higher than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The phone has a 7,000 mAh battery, which Motorola estimates could last two days on a charge. Motorola also claims 90W charging, with up to 12 hours of use from 12 minutes of charging, though a compatible USB-C charger is not included.

The camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP 3x optical zoom camera. A fourth component, an event-based vision sensor, supports a feature called Action Shot, which Motorola says will activate automatically when it detects movement.

The phone will ship with Android 17 and Motorola's Hello UI. Motorola promises seven years of OS updates. The report says several Google Gemini features will arrive "in the coming months," as most are currently limited to Pixel phones.

The Signature 27 is the first Motorola phone covered by its partnership with GrapheneOS, a privacy-focused Android-based operating system. Motorola does not plan to preload GrapheneOS, so buyers will need to install it themselves, a process the report says will be similar to installing it on Pixel phones.
